The Katonah Village Public Library relies on public support to maintain its facility and on-going programming and services for the community. Each year, the Library must raise over over 1/4 of its operating expenses from fundraisers, appeals, room rentals and other sources.
Please consider making a financial gift to support your Library. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your gift is tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.

To see if your corporation offers a matching donation, please view Double the Donation. Thank you for checking!
Donation of Appreciated Stocks and Securities
If stock you have owned for more than one year has increased in value from the time of purchase, donating it to the Katonah Village Library is a great mechanism for giving to the Library you love!
Donating stocks or securities to Katonah Village Library benefits both you and the Library. Katonah Village Library benefits from your donation. (It is our investment policy to sell donated stocks immediately.) And as the Library is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization, you will get a tax deduction equal to the stocks’ current fair market value (i.e., its increased value at the time of the transfer) as a charitable contribution. Neither your not KVL has to pay capital gains on the appreciated value of the stock.
